Home was quiet, and all the cabins were dark. It was easy to just run to the shadowy places to get to the administration building, avoiding the cars parked to the front.

I don’t know where they were keeping everybody, but I guessed the hospital. If they could lock down everybody to stop chicken pox from going around, they could definitely lock everything down for a secret press conference. I wonder what they were telling everyone in there.

Once we were there, we tried to walk quietly through the halls of the administration building. But there didn’t really seem to be a need. There were drapes drawn over the windows, and no one was really around. Maybe this was how people thought Home looked all the time. Abandoned.

We reached the office, and Andy stopped. She looked at all of us. “Do you guys want to come with me, or wait out here?”

“I’m scared,” said Drew. “Isn’t Lady Six supposed to be really creepy?”

“Nah, it’s just those science videos she does. I don’t think she’s that creepy in person.” Julio said.
