The Copy Hostess Back Catalog: THIS ISN'T EVEN OUR FIRE, WTF?

CURRENT MOOD:

Oregon (my home state) is not on fire.

But fires based in Washington and Canada gave Portland (my city) the 4th worst air quality in the United States this week.

Not. Fun.

To be honest, this past month has kinda sucked for me. Clients are reducing budgets, summer isn’t over but isn’t changing enough, and lots of people I want to do business with are all on vacation.

But it’s okay. Because this is the schedule I chose.

Some people like to just relax during summer. Not me. I use summer to grind.

It’s purely a personal choice.

But it bears thought: When do you legitimately do your best work?

Do you like winter, when most people are chilling out and you can rush ahead?

How about spring, when people are thinking about taxes and you can see the results of your work much more clearly?

Is summer your season, when you don’t have to worry about crappy seasonal depression?
