The day came for Andy to go. I woke up with her, around seven a.m..

She dressed in her Reaper clothes, then put on a black parka over it. “How do I look, Lydia?” She whispered so the kids wouldn’t wake up.

“Like a harbinger of death.”

She giggled. “That’s okay. I like this look.”

“You seem pretty calm for someone who’s about to turn themselves in to federal custody.”

“I’m not exactly expecting them to be nice to me. I’m not that naïve.” Andy said calmly.

“So… what are you expecting?”

“I’m expecting they’re going to do something really public with me. Like maybe drag me out in public or put me on television or something. I think they think that’ll be more effective than any jail time.”

“Will it be more effective, you think?”

Andy shrugged. “That’s not for me to say. It’s made people like the Maskheads and me, but we were liked by people before. And it’s not like we’ve been effective. The governments still…
