Like the Fyre doc? Time to read social media noir.

To help you hate everything. Further.

Not to throw a pity party, but it’s a weird time to work in social media right now.

Nothing like Facebook or Twitter or any of their billions of acquisitions have ever expected before. We can connect and spend time with anyone in the world, instantaneously. It’s a miracle.

It’s also ruining our minds.

It’s putting money into the pockets of megalomaniacs.

It’s fueling companies who don’t give a shit about their employees.

It’s propping up crappy art installations.

It’s trying to control the stories about them.

And if you watched the Fyre documentary on Netflix, you know that it’s also led to fantastically fraudulent events that ruined a lot of people’s lives.

[BTW: Major shout out to Internet Historian for breaking down the shitstorm that was Fyre back in October 2017.]
