Don’t Be F*cking Late For Our Meeting.

Your apathy is showing.

The biggest perk of new communication technology, hands down, is the ability to tell someone when you’re running late.

I’m not messing with you. It’s one of the best developments of our time.

In the modern age of social media, there’s no excuse to not be polite. It’s possible to inform anyone at any time that you are running late, that you are sick, or that something terrible has happened. There’s no excuse for not saying “I’m sorry.”

But our desire to be nice to others has not yet caught up to the technological revolution. We want to forgive people for being inconsiderate because past technology dictated that maybe it wasn’t their fault.

We refuse to see what being late and not informing you ahead of time really means: That person does not care about meeting you.

If someone is late to a meeting and doesn’t call, it didn’t matter as much to them as other business.

That means you don’t matter to them as much.

If someone is running late to a dinner party, they now have the option of calling, texting, WhatsApping, Messaging, and even tweeting at you that they’re running late. There is no longer an excuse.
