Christmas is an overly cheery kindness high and I’m kindof over it.

You burned out? I’m burned out.

A lot of people are depressed once Christmas ends. There’s a lot of terrible feelings that the happiest time of the year has ended, and all we have left is a lot of shitty winter.

This post is not for those people.

This is for people like me who are so freaking happy that the Christmas season is over.

I just… I don’t know. The older I get and the more income I receive, the more I realize that I don’t really care about Christmas.

I love the break from work. I love more time with my family. I love the idea that everyone is going out to parties more and taking time to make their houses look festive and bright. But Christmas itself? Meh.

Now that the holiday is over, I’m honestly just kinda relieved it’s over.

The time to buy presents is finally up.

The urge to have a “good Christmas experience” is over.

Gone is the fake nostalgia.

Gone is the desire for snow and everything that comes with it. “But it’s so pretty!” FUCK YOU. You’re not the one driving in it.
